The primary role involves providing essential support to the Specialist during diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures, while strictly adhering to high standards of patient care and cleanliness. Key duties include managing the daily OR schedule, preparing patients for induction and surgery, monitoring anesthesia, assisting in the OR, and performing post-operative care and diagnostics.
Candidates must be a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, RVT) with a minimum of two years of experience in an emergency or specialty veterinary setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to accurately calculate dosages, familiarity with CPR, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure during emergencies are mandatory.

The purpose of the position is to provide primary support to the Specialist with diagnostics, treatments, and procedures, while ensuring the best quality of care possible for our patients. The Veterinary Nurse must pay attention to detail and maintain very high standards of cleanliness and care. They must be able to communicate well with doctors and coworkers to ensure overall accuracy and satisfaction.
