The Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) delivers high-quality, age-appropriate patient care in alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision, and values. Working within the scope of their training, credentialing, and under physician supervision, the APP provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare services. This role supports comprehensive patient care by applying clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage health conditions across the patient population served.

You use your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage patient needs, improving outcomes through timely, effective treatment and preventative care. By collaborating closely with physicians and the care team, you ensure continuity of care while enhancing the patient experience and overall quality of services.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) program. Current, active state licensure as a PA-C or APRN. Prior clinical experience in outpatient and emergency room setting is preferred but not required. Successful completion of a criminal background check in accordance with organizational policy. Skills & Capabilities Demonstrates advanced clinical skills in medical management, minor procedures, and emergency care settings. Applies critical thinking and sound clinical judgement in the diagnostic and treatment process. Maintains a strong understanding of safety precautions and infection control practices, including proper handling of sharps, needles, blood, and bodily fluids. Demonstrates knowledge of proper body mechanics to promote personal safety and prevent injury. Proficient in the use of medical equipment, diagnostic tools, patient monitors, and relevant computer applications, including electronic health records (EHR). Exhibits strong attention to detail and accuracy in clinical assessments and documentation. Adapts effectively to high-pressure and fast-paced clinical environments. Communicates clearly and effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Maintains compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and organizational policies. Demonstrates ongoing commitment to professional development, clinical competency, and quality improvement.
Schedule: Full-time, exempt position. Specific schedule details are outlined in the APP contracts. Regular and punctal attendance is required. Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate clearly and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements. Must have adequate hearing and vision, and the ability to use proper body mechanics to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and maneuver equipment weight up to 150-175 pounds. Position involves prolonged standing and walking on hard surfaces for extended shifts, as well as frequent reaching, bending, and turning to provide patient care. Requires strong cognitive abilities, including critical thinking, prioritization, and the capacity to process and manage large volumes of information in a fast-paced, high-stimulation environment. Must also demonstrate effective reading, communication, and basic mathematical skills for documentation and care coordination.
