The role involves administering anesthesia and related care across pre-anesthetic evaluation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care, working collaboratively under an anesthesiologist and department leadership. Core duties include maintaining anesthesia care standards, performing psychological evaluations, reviewing and following the anesthesiologist's plan of care, and managing patient airways and physiologic homeostasis during procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the Council on Nurse Anesthetist and hold current CRNA licensure in Missouri, along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Experience is not explicitly required, but clinical competencies, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to meet annual physical and certification requirements are necessary.
