The LPN will be responsible for administering medication and therapeutic treatments according to physician orders, including dispensing methadone in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Key duties involve ensuring accurate recording of dispensing transactions, monitoring client responses to treatment, and maintaining comprehensive medical records.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program and hold a current LPN or RN license in Pennsylvania, along with at least one year of general nursing experience. Required experience also includes dispensing narcotic medication, preferably in substance abuse treatment, and skills such as drawing labs, performing EKGs, wound care, and triage.
