The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and setting goals to improve functional independence. Duties include providing therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and maintaining timely clinical documentation.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy and be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Kentucky Board of Occupational Therapy. Experience in acute care is preferred.
Occupational Therapist Part Time, First Shift The Occupational Therapist shall evaluate and treat patients; develop a treatment plan; and set goals for patients. Patient and family education is included in the treatment plan and goals. Job Duties: Completes appropriate functional evaluation including assessment of pain for various musculoskeletal/neurological conditions. Provides services to improve functional independence and/or reduce pain such as: Therapeutic procedures/exercises or activities to promote ROM, strength, coordination, balance, functional mobility (bed mobility and transfers), ADL training (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, etc.), visual perceptual training, cognitive training, or splinting. Provides ongoing assessment and advances/modifies treatment plan according to patient’s response. Completes evaluation form, treatment notes, progress reports and D/C summaries in a timely manner and appropriately submits to referring provider.
