The physician will evaluate and treat patients using appropriate diagnostic and treatment skills, coordinate discharge planning, and accept patient referrals while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of care. Responsibilities also include acting as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician, participating in academic programs, and providing necessary documentation for insurance requirements.
Candidates must be a BC/BE Pediatrician willing to provide care across multiple locations supporting Level 1 and Level 2 nurseries, with shift work averaging 40 hours per week including days, nights, and weekends. A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) credentialed by the Indiana Medical Licensing Board prior to hire is required, with Advanced Life Support preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. Join an established team of physicians and APPs Call structure: TBA (Shift work model combining days, nights, and weekends to average 40 hours per week for full-time) Practice setting: Inpatient (Level 1 and Level 2 nurseries, with potential for low-acuity pediatric beds in the future) Access to CPN and Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) EMR systems, seamless neonatologist collaboration at the Level IV NICU, and advanced clinical equipment for CPAP management and regular newborn procedures Employed position within a nonprofit health system Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration Provide high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic care for newborns across multiple regional nurseries, performing routine clinical procedures such as circumcisions, lumbar punctures, line placements, and intubations as required. Collaborate effectively with maternal-fetal medicine specialties, regional neonatologists, and case management to optimize cost-effective treatment pathways and coordinate comprehensive discharge planning. Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
