The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist provides pre-anesthetic preparation, administers anesthesia during procedures using various techniques and monitoring modalities, and manages patient recovery and post-anesthesia follow-up. Responsibilities also include providing acute, chronic, and interventional pain management, as well as critical care and resuscitation services.
Candidates must graduate with a Master's or Doctorate degree from a COA-accredited Nurse Anesthesia program and obtain required New Hampshire State APRN and RN licenses prior to the start date. Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists, along with ACLS/PALS/BLS certification, is mandatory; new graduates are eligible to be hired.
