This role involves administering medications, performing therapeutic modalities, and conducting diagnostic testing for the cardiopulmonary system, often in consultation with a physician. Responsibilities also include immediate response to arrest and emergency situations, maintaining artificial airways, and providing life support.
Candidates must be graduates of a Respiratory Therapy program with at least an Associate's Degree, hold a current State of Michigan Respiratory Care License, and possess a Basic Life Support certification upon hire. Additional required certifications include ACLS and NRP within 12 months, and PALS within 12 months.
This position, independently or in consultation with a physician, administers medications, performs various types of therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for and of the cardio-pulmonary system, responds to arrest and emergency situations and provides CPR and life support systems.
