The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care based on the nursing process during assigned work periods and functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes consistent with the comprehensive plan of care. The RN also participates in activities aimed at achieving clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes.
Candidates must possess knowledge of the nursing process, social, behavioral, and biological sciences, typically acquired through an approved nursing program, and must be able to provide age and culturally specific care. Minimum qualifications require an Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing, an MA RN license, and BLS certification, though a BSN is strongly preferred.

For specialty areas, related experience and qualifications may be required. EDUCATION: Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing. BSN strongly preferred.
