STATUS: Per Diem LOCATION: Newark-Wayne Community Hospital DEPARTMENT: Radiology SCHEDULE: Per Diem On call: 1 weekend a month. SUMMARY As a Sonographer, you play an important part in high-quality imaging exams needed to deliver quality care to our patients. The Rochester Regional Health Imaging and Radiology team is led by subspecialty and board-certified radiologists, nurses, and technicians providing the highest quality diagnostic and treatment imaging services to the Western, Central, and Finger Lakes New York communities. Our teams pride themselves on providing the most advanced imaging and radiology services that guide how treatment plans and care decisions are made throughout our region. ATTRIBUTES Compassionate, warm, and patient-focused Strong attention to detail Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior RESPONSIBILITIES Ultrasound Scans. Perform abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, and/or transcranial Doppler ultrasound scans; produce ultrasound images and obtain all required measurements; assist attending physicians with invasive procedures under sonographic guidance Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action Documentation. Note performance of scans in patient charts and complete preliminary reporting; phone preliminary reports in to doctor’s offices or nursing floors at the request of the Radiologist Room Preparation. Clean, sto,ck and prepare the room daily.

Minimum Qualifications

A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate or a Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound is required Required Licensure/Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. PAY RANGE: $35.00 - $47.00 CITY: Newark POSTAL CODE: 14513 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
