Evaluate and treat patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurological conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care and facilitate patient return to home or next level of care.
Requires a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association is also required.
As an Inpatient/Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll use evidence-based techniques to transform patients’ lives. Your primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with a diagnosis of stroke, traumatic brain injury, head and neck cancer, and progressive neurological conditions. This role gives you the opportunity for interdisciplinary team collaboration to ensure the best and most evidenced based practice for our patients. Your Responsibilities as a Speech-Language Pathologist Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient to facilitate return home or to next level of care Establish timely treatment plans for each patient’s specific needs Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, patient’s family, fellow clinicians, and other team members Build and maintain relationships with hospital staff (i.e. physicians, case management, nurses, social workers, dietitians, etc.)
