The dietitian will be responsible for communicating with and counseling patients according to physician orders, developing and implementing nutritional care plans, and evaluating referral orders for adequate nutrition intake methods. Key duties also involve instructing patients on post-discharge diets, monitoring nutritional status, and documenting pertinent information in medical records.
Candidates must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association and hold state licensure, with a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition required. One year of Clinical Dietetics experience is preferred, and membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is desired.
