The Occupational Therapist is responsible for implementing standards of care for occupational therapy services, which includes evaluating patient functional status, developing treatment programs, and teaching new skills or retraining patients in daily activities lost due to illness or injury. This role also involves instructing family/caregivers, supervising assistants, and participating in discharge planning.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum and registered with the American Occupational Therapy Association, possessing two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist. Additionally, they must maintain current CPR certification and possess a valid driver's license with an insured vehicle for travel to patient homes.

Reports to: Rehab Director
The occupational therapist contracted through the Organization is responsible for the implementation of standards of care for occupational therapy services and for adherence to all conditions outlined in the Service Agreement.
1. Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
2. Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
3. Two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
4. Possesses and maintains current CPR Certification.
5. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured and in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
1. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
2. Pull, push and or lift 15-20 pounds on a daily basis. Pull / push 125-200 pounds on a regular basis. Pulls/push 200 or more pounds on a regular basis
· Sits, stands stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours.
· Drives in own car to and from patients’ home. Work in patient(s) homes as well as agency office.
· Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
