The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care according to the healthcare organization's established policies, procedures, and protocols. This role involves caring for patients recovering from complex thoracic surgical procedures and cardiovascular interventions in a progressive/step-down environment.
Required education includes an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, with a mandate for new hires to start a BSN program within one year and complete it within three years. Applicants must possess current Kentucky RN licensure or a compact license and hold Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification.

We are Hiring at Jewish Hospital, Cardiothoracic Post Surgical/PCU 6 Towers Location: 200 Abraham Flexner Way, Louisville, KY 40202 Shift Options: Part Time, 7a-7p About the Unit 6 Towers Cardiothoracic Post Surgica/PCU is a 22-bed unit dedicated to provide high quality care in a progressive/step down environment. This unit specializes in caring for post thoracic surgical procedures (Esophagectomy, Lobectomy, Wedge resection, Pneumonectomy and VATS) and patients recovering from cardiovascular interventions (TAVR, Mitral Clips, Watchman and post-PCI / stent patients). The UofL Health – Trager Transplant Center is in a select group of hospitals nationwide that perform heart, lung, liver, kidney, pancreas and hand transplantation.
