The CT Technologist is responsible for preparing patients and performing CT imaging. They work closely with CT leadership and Radiologists to produce diagnostic images in accordance with department protocols.
An Associate's degree or higher and eighteen months of CT experience are required. Candidates must also be registered as a CT by the ARRT and hold a current BLS certification.
The CT Technologist is responsible for reviewing the Physician Order and reason for exam, preparing the patient, positioning, and performing CT imaging of patients. The CT Technologist works closely with CT leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department protocols. Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques. Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.
Associate’s degree or higher required. Eighteen (18) months of CT experience required. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as a CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.) Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations. Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
