The Certified Radiologist Assistant performs a variety of hospital and outpatient procedures under the supervision of a radiologist. They conduct patient assessments, implement treatment plans, and ensure quality patient care.
Candidates must have current certification as a Certified Radiologist Assistant and adhere to Florida licensure requirements. Documentation of case performance and successful completion of Fluoroscopy Safety Training is also required.

The Certified Radiologist Assistant is an experienced, registered radiographer who has obtained additional educationand certification that qualifies them to serve as a radiologist extender. The Certified Radiologist Assistant works underthe supervision of a radiologist to provide quality patient care in a hospital and/or outpatient facility.
1. Able to perform a variety of hospital and outpatient procedures following the protocols established by the hospital and/or outpatient facility.
2. Conducts initial and on-going assessment of patients' medical and physical status, periodic evaluation, and progressnotes. Records pertinent data in the medical record.
3. Implements physician-directed treatment plans. Conducts patient/parent education and counseling covering healthstatus, test results, disease processes, and discharge planning. Explains effects and potential side effects to the patientprior to the exam.
4. Demonstrates compassion to ensure quality patient care and satisfaction while maintaining patient confidentiality.
5. Performs various procedures, follow-up patient evaluations, and communicates findings to the radiologist.
6. Evaluates images for completeness and diagnostic quality, and recommends additional images within the same modality as required. Reports clinical observations to the radiologist.
7. Demonstrates current competence based on results of OPPE and outcomes with a minimum of care for at least 50 diagnostic radiology cases within the past 24 months.
Current certification or registration as a Certified Radiologist Assistant granted by the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists.
Adheres to the State of Florida requirements for licensure for CRA.
Documentation of the number and types of cases performed during the past 24 months.
Documentation of successful completion of Fluoroscopy Safety Training with a minimum score of 80%.
Current ACLS certification.
Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and patients, and the ability to work independently.
This job requires prolonged sitting or standing, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching; Must be able to see with orwithout corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly, with or without assistance. This position may require lifting 50 plus pounds.
