The provider is responsible for delivering healthcare services in a designated specialty area, including patient diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals. This role also involves serving as a resource and role model for clinical practice, training, evaluation, and direct management of practitioners and students.
Candidates must possess either a Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program or a Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program, along with at least two years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider. Specific, current Texas state licensure, registration, and required certifications like BLS are mandatory for Physician Assistants, APRNs, or Certified Nurse Midwives.
