Position Overview

• The Certified Nursing Assistant role functions to provide essential nursing care and support to residents, ensuring their health, comfort, and well-being. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized care that meets each resident’s unique needs.
• Record all entries on flow sheets (ADLs. I&Os, percentage of meals eaten, vitals, bowel & bladder) in an informative, descriptive and legible manner. Record additional entries as requested/required by the charge nurse.
• Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical.
• Report all accidents and incidents observed as they occur.
• Transports residents to assigned locations for activity.
• Monitor and supervise residents at all times to ensure resident safety.
• Assist in passing meal trays to residents at meal times. Ensure the correct tray is given to the correct resident.
• Assist and participate in a hydration program.
• Assist patients at meal times.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations established in the employee handbook and other policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in California.
• Active BLS/CPR
