The physician will be responsible for meeting, assessing, and diagnosing patients within a children's hospital setting, ensuring healthcare services meet state and national standards. Responsibilities also include prescribing appropriate medication, health regimens, and lifestyle adjustments for patient recovery and health promotion.
Candidates must possess an M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree with a current or obtainable Minnesota Medical License, along with Board Certification (BE/BC) in Pediatrics and completion of an ACGME Accredited Fellowship program. Required abilities include clinical competency in caring for hospitalized children, strong diagnostic skills, and excellent communication.

Responsible for prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues and/or promote a healthier life.
*Board BE/BC in Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics. *Completion of an ACGME Accredited Fellowship program, per subspecialty requirements. *Board BE/BC in subspecialty, if applicable. Ability to be successfully credentialed by both Hospital and 3rd Party Payers.
*Must have an M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree from another country with a current Minnesota Medical License or the ability to obtain one.
*Clinical competency and expertise in caring for hospitalized children. *Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics. *Knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications. *In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices. *Excellent oral and written communication skills. *Respect for patient's confidentiality. *Compassionate and approachable. *Responsible and trustworthy.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
