The Registered Nurse will utilize therapeutic communication to establish relationships with patients and the healthcare team to collaborate on the plan of care, while also conducting nursing assessments and developing/updating care plans in partnership with the patient and family. Responsibilities also include following standards of care, identifying practice improvements, providing complex patient care coordination, and managing time effectively to document care and contribute to financial targets.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved education program and possess twelve months of registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment, along with Texas State Licensure (or Compact Licensure requiring Texas license acquisition within 60 days) and Basic Life Support certification. Essential abilities include strong assessment, organizational, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to function independently using critical thinking and clinical judgment.

EXPERIENCE Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS Required RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure - Texas Board of Nursing_PSV Compact Licensure - must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency) and BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association Preferred Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification

FINANCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Displays self-motivation to independently manage time effectively, timely document care, minimize incidental overtime, and prioritize daily tasks. Provides input into the unit resource utilization including unit capital and operational budget needs. Contributes towards meeting department financial targets on unit-based scorecard through decreasing length of stay, optimizing efficiency and other areas according to department specifications.
