The role involves assisting physicians with invasive cardiology and radiology procedures by scrubbing, maintaining the sterile field, and documenting procedures within the interventional lab. Responsibilities also include hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation, post-procedure care, vascular access site management, and equipment operation/maintenance.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of radiology technology and possess current AART Radiology Technology Licensure, along with American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS); ACLS is required within three months of hire. One year of Interventional radiology/cath lab experience and recent hospital experience as a radiology technologist are preferred.
Responsible for assisting physicians to perform invasive cardiology and radiology procedures; scrubbing and maintaining sterile field; monitoring and documenting procedures in interventional procedural lab Responsible for hemodynamic monitoring and EKG interpretation, documentation during interventional procedures Performs post procedure care and vascular access site management including arterial and venous sheath removal and closure device utilization Operates, troubleshoots, maintains and performs quality control on all equipment used in lab, including imaging systems/fluoroscopy Maintains supply inventory.
