The Patient Care Technician provides high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated tasks under the supervision of an RN or LPN, assisting with daily living activities and maintaining a safe environment. Key functions include collecting patient data like vital signs, assisting with mobility, and ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team.
Candidates should have basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment, strong organizational skills for multitasking in a fast-paced setting, and effective communication abilities. Preferred qualifications include 0-2 years of acute care experience or current enrollment in a Nursing program, and a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Patient Care Technician certification.
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated tasks in alignment with the PCT's training and the department's needs. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (LVN at Texas facilities), the PCT supports patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe and organized care environment, and ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team.
