The GI & Special Procedures Technician supports safe patient care during procedures such as endoscopy, dental, and oncology cases under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. This role involves setting up necessary equipment and supplies prior to the case, primarily supporting GI endoscopy but potentially assisting with other non-surgical cases.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of advanced hospital-based endoscopic experience that includes ERCP and EUS cases. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory, and GI Tech certification is preferred.
