LPNs are responsible for ensuring quality and safe resident care services by promoting physical and emotional health through assistance and teaching regarding medical care. This includes complying with policies, providing personal care services according to the service plan, following safety procedures, and accurately observing and reporting resident conditions.
Candidates must possess a current LPN license in the state of employment and have one or more years of experience in an Assisted Living or Memory Care community. Essential requirements include familiarity with drug actions and interactions, accurate assessment skills, patience, courtesy, and the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff in English.
