The primary functions involve using relevant personal stories to teach through experience and serving as a role model for clients receiving mental health services. Responsibilities also include encouraging client voice and choice in treatment planning and empowering clients to become self-advocates.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and complete KFLA training along with core competency training. Applicants must be between eighteen (18) and thirty-five (35) years old and must have received or currently be receiving a state-funded service related to a youth's emotional, social, behavioral, or substance use disability.
