The registered respiratory technician administers specified respiratory care treatments and services, interacting as a team with physicians, nurses, and other staff to develop patient care plans. Essential functions include administering treatments like PFTs, EKGs, and ABGs, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold a current Illinois license for Respiratory Therapy Technician, along with current BLS and ACLS certifications. Preference is given to those with Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification and 3-6 months of RRT experience.
Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. We have been serving residents of Edgar County since 1968 though community education, emergency services, and outpatient care. The registered respiratory technician provides respiratory care treatments and services as specified by a physician and/or departmental policies. Interacts as a team with physicians, RNs, NAs, USs, the patient and their families to develop a plan of care. Communicates with ancillary departments to provide services to the patient and their families. Has contact with a variety of patients of all ages (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric), as well as the mentally and physically challenged.

Holidays and Weekend shifts on nights as indicated by department need.
Pay ranges from $21.351/hour to $34.161/hour (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)
