The role involves providing patient care and technical skills in operating diagnostic radiography equipment for evaluation purposes, including preparing patients and explaining procedures to reduce anxiety. Responsibilities also include making necessary exposures, rejecting substandard work, operating computer equipment for image production, and performing quality control measures.
Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited radiography program or one year of experience/500 clinical hours, a current Radiology Technologist license in Indiana, American Registry of Radiologist Technologists registration, and current Healthcare BLS certification. Experience in surgery or assisting with pain procedures is highly preferred.
Join our excellent Radiology Team ! Provides patient care and technical skills in the operation of diagnostic radiography equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. Maintain and use equipment and supplies necessary to demonstrate portions of the human body on X-ray film or fluoroscopic screen for diagnostic purposes.
Preparing patient for radiography procedures by accurately assessing patient’s needs and providing patient education; Explaining procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation; Making exposures necessary for the requested procedures, rejecting and repeating work that does not meet established standards; and Operating computer and radiography equipment for image production and documentation of images, and performing quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
On-call and Call Back rotation will be required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited radiography program One (1) year experience or graduate of training program with minimum of 500 clinical hours of training Current Radiology Technologist license thru the State of Indiana Registered through the American Registry of Radiologist Technologists Current Healthcare BLS certification
