The Physical Therapist evaluates motor function in children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental and complex conditions, developing individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, strength, and balance. This role involves providing therapeutic interventions and collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to support functional independence.
Candidates must possess a current Texas Physical Therapist license, BLS certification, and a Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Experience with pediatric, neurologic, or developmental populations and comfort working in a structured behavioral environment are preferred.

Nexus Children’s Hospital – Houston provides structured inpatient care for children ages 4 to 18 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD). Located in Houston’s Westchase District, our bright, home-like environment offers a safe and supportive setting where children can grow, stabilize, and build the skills needed for success.
Our program focuses on behavioral stability, communication development, and functional independence. Our interdisciplinary team works closely with patients and families to improve mobility, coordination, and daily living skills while supporting emotional and behavioral growth — because at Nexus, we’re mending minds.

The Physical Therapist (PT) provides therapeutic services to children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental, behavioral, and medically complex conditions. The PT evaluates motor function, develops individualized treatment plans, and works closely with the interdisciplinary team to improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and the ability to work with patients who may have developmental, behavioral, or emotional regulation challenges.
