The Surgical Technologist assists in the care of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures by performing scrub duties and related functions. They maintain patient safety and comply with sterilization standards while participating in quality improvement activities.
Candidates must have completed an accredited educational program for surgical technologists or appropriate training in the U.S. Armed Forces. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required, along with 15 hours of continuing education annually.
