Ready to join our quest for better?Job DescriptionOn call every 4th-5th weekend, 1 Sat or Sun 24-hour call shiftNo Weekends1-2 days per year, holiday rotation.Variables start and end times.
The CT Technologist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.RESPONSIBILITIESPositions and immobilizes patient on examining table.Administers contrast media oral and/or IV contrast in accordance with department policies and procedures, patient history indicators, exam protocols and physician orders and follows through with post exam instructions.Enters data such as type of scan, slice thickness, scan time and other technical data into computer.Communicates with patient before and during procedure; monitors safety, comfort.Views images of organs or tissue on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; produces radiographs.Performs CT equipment QA and maintains required logs.Performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as neededQualificationsRequired: ARRTIEMA Division of Nuclear SafetyBLS through American Heart Association2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalentPreferred: ARRT registry in CT or MRI1 year experienceAdditional InformationNorthwestern Medicine is an equal opportunity employer (disability, VETS) and does not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation or any other protected status.Background CheckNorthwestern Medicine conducts a background check that includes criminal history on newly hired team members and, at times, internal transfers.
