The Registered Respiratory Therapist manages the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with pulmonary disorders, utilizing various testing techniques to aid physicians in diagnosis. This role involves determining treatment requirements, including therapy type, method, duration, precautions, medication, and dosages, all compatible with physician orders.
Candidates must possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree and a High School Diploma or GED. Required credentials include being a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC, and holding current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association.
