The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients referred to PM&R, establishing a plan of care, and executing appropriate treatment techniques based on the patient's age and medical limitations. This role also requires completing necessary documentation and billing, and potentially participating in clinical education as a CI for students.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate degree from an accredited physical therapist program, or meet prior educational criteria if licensed before 2015, and must obtain or be eligible for a Texas State license. Essential abilities include applying Physical Therapy theory under state bylaws and ethics, performing technical procedures, and effectively instilling confidence in patients and staff.
