The assistant will be the first point of contact, triaging incoming patients and providing steady support while guiding them toward care. Responsibilities include assisting with treatments, nursing care, diagnostics, and setting up/monitoring anesthesia and sedation cases alongside credentialed staff.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and enrollment in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program is a plus, along with at least one year of experience in a veterinary assistant role, preferably in emergency or specialty care. Candidates must possess basic computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and the physical capacity to handle and lift patients.
