Registered Nurses work in collaborative environments utilizing evidence-based practices to develop patient-centered care plans addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family. They operate under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, adhering to the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
Candidates must be graduates of a nursing school, preferably with a BSN, and possess at least one year of RN experience or successful completion of the Nurse Residency Program, along with a current unrestricted RN license in Connecticut. Required certifications include BLS, with ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and CPI required within 90 days of hire.

Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The Registered Nurse (RN) who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.
