The Respiratory Therapist I provides age-appropriate respiratory care across all patient populations following evidence-based practices, medical center protocols, and regulatory requirements. This role involves close collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality care delivery through skilled interventions and continuous assessment.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program and possess current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials from the NBRC, along with a state Respiratory Care Practitioner license for Illinois or Michigan. New graduates must pass the CRT exam and obtain state licensure within six months of hire.

This role involves close collaboration with the healthcare team, utilizing clinical expertise and critical thinking to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality care. The Respiratory Therapist I plays a vital role in supporting patient outcomes through skilled interventions and continuous assessment. The Respiratory Therapist I plays a vital role in providing comprehensive patient care across various settings, including emergency rooms, intensive care units, general medical floors, homecare and clinics. They will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, contributing to positive patient outcomes. *Both CRT and RRT candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with the RRT credential would have a higher pay scale.
