The Sleep Technologist III is responsible for setting up the laboratory, performing patient hook-ups, and executing and evaluating overnight polysomnograms using sophisticated medical equipment to record sleep and wake physiology. Team members must work collaboratively to perform all required shift tasks according to international standards and clinic policies.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent along with three years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in the field. Required credentials include certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technicians (RPSGT) and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

This is a full-time shift for either days or nights, both of which are 12-hr shifts. The Stanford Sleep Disorders Clinic operates 6 nights a week, Sunday through Friday. This is a Stanford Health Care job.
Education Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience Qualifications Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus Ability to solve problems and identify solutions Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job Knowledge and competency in all aspects of Polysomnographic testing, procedures and utilization Knowledge and understanding of common Sleep Disorders and utilization of electronic systems Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area Knowledge of new technologies (in specific field) and maintain and stay abreast of updates and changes
Licenses and Certifications Credential from Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technicians (BRPT) as Registered Polysomnographic Technicians (RPSGT) . and BLS - Basic Life Support .
