The Physical Therapy Assistant treats patients strictly under the direction of a Physical Therapist, performing delegated physical therapy procedures such as administering treatment with therapeutic exercise, massage, and mechanical devices. The PTA may make minor modifications to treatment plans, assist with evaluations, and document progress, but cannot perform evaluations or major treatment plan modifications.
Candidates must possess strong orthopedic and manual skills and be capable of working collaboratively in a patient-centered, multimodal approach. Required qualifications include a degree from an APTA accredited physical therapy program and maintaining a current state license to practice.
The hourly rate for this role is $29-$34 an hour based on years of experience.
This position comes with a $5k sing-on bonus for fulltime hires. Sign-on bonus would be prorated if hired as part-time.

Who are we looking for?
We are in need of a PTA with strong orthopedic and manual skills who can work collaboratively in a multimodal approach that is Patient-Centered! Our Physical Therapist Assistant need to be self-motivated, very organized, caring and have a degree from an APTA accredited physical therapy program as well as a current license to practice.
What qualifications do you need to possess?
Must have graduated from a A.P.T.A accredited therapy assistant program, with a minimal of an Associates degree and be eligible for State Board Examination. Individuals must pass the licensing exam in order to continue practice beyond a temporary license. PTA must maintain all requirements of State licensure.
Who does it report to?
Supervising Licensed Physical Therapist, Site Supervisor, Clinical Director, Owners and Directors.
What are the primary responsibilities?
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) may treat patients ONLY under the direction of a Physical Therapist as defined in the State law.
The PTA may perform physical therapy procedures and related tasks that have been selected and delegated by the Supervising Physical Therapist.
The PTA may administer treatment with therapeutic exercise, massage, mechanical devices, and therapeutic agents that use the properties of air, water, electricity, sound or light.
The PTA may make minor modifications to treatment plans within the predetermined plan of care, assist the physical therapist with evaluations, and document treatment progress.
The ability of the PTA to perform the selected and delegated tasks shall be assessed by the supervising physical therapist.
The PTA shall not perform interpretation of referrals, physical therapy evaluation, re- evaluation, major modification of treatment plan, final discharge of the patient, or therapeutic techniques beyond the skill and knowledge of the PTA or without proper supervision.
