The role involves supporting individuals in achieving personal goals and dreams using a person-centered approach, while teaching independent living and daily skills such as personal care routines. Responsibilities also include actively planning, coordinating, and participating with residents in social activities and community outings, as well as instructing on household tasks like cleaning and meal preparation.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Driver's License, along with the ability to communicate effectively with the persons served. Prior experience in a residential setting serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or other special needs populations is beneficial.
