The Medical Assistant facilitates communication between the patient and provider by collecting information, preparing the patient for visits, and performing essential clinical tasks like obtaining vitals and setting up procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining exam room standards, managing electronic charts, and ensuring patient education is delivered as directed.
Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program, along with active Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, or NCMA) and current BLS certification. Preferred experience includes 1-2 years in orthopedics, spine surgery, or pain management, along with knowledge of EMR and medical procedures.
