The Recovery Specialist establishes open communication and provides education and support to families needing substance abuse treatment to maintain a life in recovery within a therapeutic, nurturing environment. Additional duties include transferring program information, mediating resident concerns, coordinating with community organizations, providing intervention, and monitoring clients during substance use screenings.
Applicants must possess a GED or High School Diploma, with an associate's degree or higher preferred, and must have a minimum of two years of experience working in the substance use or mental health field. All positions require background screening, a reliable vehicle, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Grace House is a residential recovery home located in Northampton, MA. Grace House is designed to serve 12 mothers and up to 20 children. The identified population is families at serious risk of decompensation and long-term homelessness due to parental Substance Use Disorder (SUD). This population includes women who have custody or will have physical custody of at least one child within 60 days of admission and/or women who are pregnant.
Self-motivated, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, ability to be flexible, willingness to learn, familiar with person centered/trauma informed approach, able to navigate crisis situations effectively, demonstrates integrity, empathetic, task oriented, team player, sense of humor.
Pay rate is $20.00/hr. and includes phenomenal benefits like, Dental, Health and Life insurance. Paid time off, earned vacation time and paid holidays just to name a few.
Full time 2nd shift and Part time 2nd shift (Sat/Sun).
Ability to attend mandatory daytime staff meetings and in-person trainings required.
