The role involves performing clinical and administrative tasks within the practice, including completing initial patient clinical assessments and documenting findings in the patient chart. The assistant will also support the provider by filling medications, placing orders, handling in-basket tasks, and returning patient phone calls.
A high school education is required, along with post-high school health or medical studies leading to certification. Required certifications include CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NHA), or NCMA.
Performs work in the clinical and administrative areas of the practice as needed. Completes initial patient clinical assessment, documenting in the patient chart according to the description below. Assists provider by working within their scope of competency to fill medications, place orders, complete in-basket tasks, return patient phone calls and other duties as assigned.
Monday-Thursday 7: 30AM-6:00PM
High school education required. Post high school health/medical studies with certification required: Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, AAMA), Registered Medical Assistants (RMA, AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA, NHA), and National Certified Medical Assistants (NCMA).
