The technologist prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals to detect and treat disease under physician supervision, providing patient care and operating nuclear medicine equipment for diagnostic purposes. Duties include preparing patients, operating imaging systems, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and performing quality control measures.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nuclear medicine program at the associate's or bachelor's degree level and possess one year of current clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Required credentials include state-specific licensure/registration and current CPR certification.
NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive materials) to detect and treat disease under the supervision of a physician. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides patient care and technical skills in the operation of nuclear medicine equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.

Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program at the associate’s or bachelor’s degree level.
State specific; current and unrestricted license or registration to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the state of practice, as applicable. ARRT or NMTCB registration as per client requirements.
One year of current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience in the clinical setting.
Current CPR at least; and other health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.
Various client facility settings; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
