Non-surgical duties include administrative tasks, patient consultation, providing discharge instructions, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed an accredited Surgical Assistant program, along with holding current Surgical Assistant certification and CPR/BLS certification. Essential qualifications also include a Dental X-ray license and strong organizational, communication, and patient care skills, even in stressful situations.
