This role involves utilizing imaging equipment, maintaining its cleanliness, and accurately preparing and positioning patients to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, along with at least one year of experience in Radiologic Imaging. An Associate's Degree is required, and preferred candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to patient care.

Job Summary

The MRI Technologist has the privilege of utilizing all Imaging equipment and is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper utilization of said equipment. Educates and explains procedures to patients to ensure safety and comfort during the examination
Operates and oversees operative magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes
Records, processes and maintains patient data and treatment records, and prepares reports as needed
Records thorough and accurate patient medical histories and notes as appropriate with policy and guidelines
Follows radiation safety procedures, process and protection devices to comply with governmental regulations and to ensure patient and staff safety
Review and evaluate developed computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
Follows directions and instructions of physician or provider as it relates to patient care management
Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested including annual HIPAA and OSHA training. Maintains work area according to OSHA guidelines
Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations/credentials to remain in compliance with regulatory guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Renewal is required
Active Certified BLS Provider (Basic Life Support) or must receive from an accredited institution within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
One year experience in Radiologic Imaging required
Knowledge of Siemens and Phillips Equipment
Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
