The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the primary and specialty health care of assigned patients under medical staff direction, planning and implementing healthcare goals in collaboration with patients and families. They must serve as a role model, utilize expert knowledge to strengthen clinical practice, and consult with staff to ensure patient needs are met.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing with a master's degree in nursing, holding current RN and APN licenses in Illinois, and possess appropriate advanced practice nurse certification. Preferred experience includes five to seven years of clinical experience, with at least three years in the specialty area of care.
These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission, values and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and guests.

Iv. Job specifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing master’s degree in nursing required.
Current RN license in the State of Illinois required. Current APN license in the State of Illinois required. Certification as an advanced practice nurse by the appropriate certifying organization required. Five to seven years of clinical experience, at least three in the specialty area of care preferred.
Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in carrying out work duties.
