The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures under a radiologist's direction to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment, ensuring high-quality scans are obtained. This role involves utilizing specialized equipment, administering contrast when required, and assisting physicians with diagnostic MRI procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Radiography, hold ARRT registration certified in Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or be seeking MR eligibility, and maintain current CPR certification. Required competencies include handling stressful, fast-paced environments, effective communication, and proficiency in venipuncture and IV contrast safety.
MRI Tech Schedule: Part-Time, 32 hours per pay period
Under the direction of a radiologist, the MRI Technologist performs a variety of magnetic resonance imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Obtains high quality scans, which are interpreted by a radiologist in the evaluation of disease or abnormality. Assists radiologist or other staff physicians in the performance of diagnostic MRI procedures whenever required.
Certification: Must be CPR certified
