Develops and administers speech-language treatment programs to assist patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to design and implement effective treatment strategies.
Requires a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a valid license to practice in the State of Michigan. Candidates must possess clinical competencies in evaluation and treatment, along with current CPR certification.
Education: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Skills: Must possess skills consistent with the needs of the department. Years of Experience: N/A License: Licensed in the State of Michigan to practice Speech-Language Pathology Certification: CPR certification according to hospital policy.
License: Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Physical Requirements: The majority of time spent sitting, standing, and performing patient care treatments. Must possess physical ability and condition to walk through clinic or hospital and handle patients correctly and safely. Be able to handle standard equipment that is in a speech therapy department.
