• The practicing podiatrist is responsible to diagnose and treat all conditions relating to the lower legs, feet, and ankles. Their duties include consulting with patients, practicing evidence-based medicine with best practices, prescribing appropriate medication and devices as indicated for the condition, and performing all necessary procedures and surgeries to remedy patients' conditions. Continued education on medical advancements and treatments is expected. We are seeking an experienced Surgical Podiatrist for our Astoria, NY location. Our Benefits:

Duties: & Responsibilities:

• Clinical Knowledge
• Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, and epidemiology of medical conditions
• Utilizes critical thinking to synthesize and analyze collected data
• Develops, implements, and alters the plans of care as indicated
• Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area

• Patient Care
• Provides compassionate care, incorporating the patient and family in care planning and treatment across settings
• Serves as an advocate for patients and families in navigating the health care system
• Clinical documentation, including coding and billing, meets all required standards
• Utilization and proficiency of EHR, allowing for timely completion of documentation

• Practice Based Learning and Clinical Improvement
• Demonstrates insight into own strengths, limitations, and knowledge deficits, continuously seeking opportunities for clinical advancement and skill attainment
