The Technician is responsible for administrative and clinical support, including obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary testing, scheduling, and preparing the exam room to ensure quality standards are met. They must assist doctors with exams and maintain an organized, safe environment for patients and staff.
Candidates must be capable of performing various clinical support tasks, such as preliminary testing and assisting doctors during patient procedures, while also managing administrative duties like scheduling and inventory. Physical requirements include standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly, along with maintaining necessary visual acuity for detailed work.
The Technician fulfills an important role in providing data that is critical to the doctor in order to provide proper care and treatment to each patient. This individual is responsible for various administrative and clinical functions, including obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary and ancillary testing, scheduling patients, preparing the exam room, and assisting the doctors with any exam needs. They ensure the practice’s quality standards are met, while completing specific, essential responsibilities that pertain to the patient’s experience and effective communication.
