The Ophthalmic Scribe supports the physician by accurately documenting exams, diagnoses, and follow-up instructions. They also manage clinic flow, coordinate patient scheduling, and provide self-care instructions to patients.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as an ophthalmic scribe or technician and familiarity with electronic medical records are preferred.
The primary responsibility of the Ophthalmic Scribe is to support the physician in the clinical setting by enhancing efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will anticipate physician needs, communicate effectively with both patients and staff, and multitask seamlessly to ensure smooth clinic operations.
